Sisters MatsumotoSisters Matsumoto is a play that takes place during the time of Japanese internment camps. The sisters and their husbands were released from the camps and now must return to their family farm. When they return the find that it isn't as easy as they thought it would be; the farm has been ransacked and has fallen onto hard times. They must decide how they will proceed now that their neighbors and the citizens of their town no longer treat them the way they used to. So much about this tale surprised me. Since this takes place after the camps, we are given a peek into what families go to once they return to their homes, and it is not longer normal for them. I felt hopeful for them because I wanted them to succeed, but like life, it isn't always easy to do that.
